Grand National Roadster Show - Thursday Setup

The Grand National Roadster Show starts today at noon. I was there yesterday afternoon to preview this year's show. As always there seems to be something for everyone and a few stand outs that I'll revisit today.
Headed out there now for the Press Conference and a full day of viewing magnificent automotive creations, seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
Click Here to see Thursday's Set-up pics straight from the camera, unedited , no color correction, etc. - not enough time so I thought I'd share them this way.

If you're anywhere near this event you owe it to yourself to come see it, words and pics alone can't begin to describe it!

Remember this Nomad?

The Sam Hollingsworth '57 Chevy Nomad that graced the cover of the May '67 Rod & Custom.

Well it turns out that it is being restored at Richard's Wheel & Chassis in Long Beach to be shown at the Grand National Roadster Show next month. My good friend Jim Aust, owner of So-Cal Speed Shop Los Angeles, posted this thread today over in The Garage at Traditional Speed & Custom. Be sure to click on the link to see what it looks like today and while you're over there check out their forums.

How many of you remember this Revell model kit, and tried to build it into a decent looking model?

I remember it as a very tough kit to build, it had opening everything and the fit was not good but boy did that box art convince us it could look like that!

I'm looking forward to seeing this one at the Grand National Roadster Show, January 29-31, 2010 - will you be there?
